about the name
black + white = blite
blite means black and white: "creative contrasts"! most ideas start out as collection of quick lines, a black and white sketch on paper or tablet. either illustration, pattern, logo, 3d design or animation start their initial journey as a simple doodle.
i've come a long way
i have worked in the creative industry for over 15 years. lucky me I still enjoy it very much. mostly because I shifted from being an art director in advertisement to focusing largely on illustration and motion design.

the basics
like almost everyone working in the creative industry, i attended one year of basic art school.

learning while working in the field. apprenticeships are a important pillar in swiss education. early on i gained invaluable experience with real clients. basel, switzerland

life education
working isn't everything there is to life. so i took it upon myself to experience other countries and cultures. from australia i took home many friendships and a fluent english. brisbane, australia
2008
freelance experience
at the advertising agency 'valencia' in basel i had the chance to work as a freelancer for a couple of months. it gave me interesting insides in the workings of a larger agency. basel, switzerland
2010
designing in the alps
after a 4 month trip to south america i started a design job at a small studio in the swiss alps. there i got to know switzerland from a different angle.

selfmade design products
with my soon to become wife we started a creative project, where we designed and produced creative products in peru and then sold them in argentina.

leaving my mark
at qube creatives (formerly baldinger & baldinger) i developed and honed my design skills. i imprinted my unique style in countless print, online and motion projects.

a life changing event
the birth of my daughter changed everything. whereas i was careless with my time beforehand, i now valued my own time much more and started being more efficient in any facet of life.
